Of course that’s not the toughest question, but it is certainly food for thought, isn’t it?
The early mornings as a full-time affiliate marketer are quite a bit different from how they used to be that’s for sure, but there are significant anomalies elsewhere in my day as well.
It used to be that by around 8 a.m. I had already been working for an hour or so fixing, fueling, and starting Sea King helicopters on the flight line in Shearwater Nova Scotia, which is a military installation just the opposite side of the harbor from Halifax.
Now I find myself considering only one thing once the kids are off to school, and my wife Amber is off to college:
“to golf or not to golf”
It is a complex thought process which involves at very least determining if my clubs are in the car, or if they were even unpacked from the last Internet conference trip. Then, I have to call brother Rick (also an Internet marketer :>) and see if he is available for a round. We usually do the driving range first for a bucket or two refining our slices and hooks into the nets, and then assault 9 or 18 perfectly innocent greens from there.
If the weather is not fair, and you golfers in the readership know the weather has to be REALLY not fair to not play, I take my wireless laptop and do a little reading at the local Tim Horton’s coffee shop which coincidentally serves 2 purposes;
- I get to catch up on what is new in the IM world. Doing this for just 30 minutes each day puts you in the top 5% of web marketers for knowledge (Brian Tracy)
- I get to greet all the guys I once worked with, many of whom told me I was nuts to even dream of working online. Needless to say, I get a great degree of rather selfish satisfaction fro this. Sad, I know..
This takes me to around mid-morning, which is another story- one about developing real estate with those affiliate marketing dollars- in another post, sorry #;>)

The conference is free, and sometimes the food is okay. There is always something they want you to buy because nothing is for free. They have to make their money some how. Some of these Internet conferences are great and informative. It is up to you as to what kind of information you are looking for and what it is you want to do with the Internet business world.

“UVB-76 is the callsign of a shortwave radio station that usually broadcasts on the frequency 4625 kHz (AM full carrier). It’s known among radio listeners by the nickname The Buzzer. It features a short, monotonous About this sound buzz tone (help·info), repeating at a rate of approximately 25 tones per minute, for 24 hours per day. The station has been observed since around 1982.[1] On rare occasions, the buzzer signal is interrupted and a voice transmission in Russian takes place. Only three to four such events have been noted. Despite much speculation, the actual purpose of this station remains unknown.”

During the golden days of Berkeley when I was a volunteer working under Howard Hersh in KPFA [image] Studios above Edy’s Ice Cream Shattuck Ave., I bought my first serious Gibson guitar from Campbell Coe at his little Campus Music Shop [image] behind the Forum Coffee Shop in the alley, with the address 2506 Haste St., my precious Gibson CF-100 [image] sitting around listening to Campbell spin his yarns, rolling Bugler cigarettes Campbell smoked his stinky cigars and took his sweet time on guitar repairs but it was worth the wait. Barry Olivier’s Berkeley Folk Festival was where it was at, I was on the volunteer staff and jammed with many of the acts on my electric Giulietti accordion, backing up Shlomo Carlebach [image] in the Greek Theatre with John Whitelaw on Fender Bass on the program with Joan Baez, Phil Ochs, John Fahey, Reverend Gary Davis, Furry Lewis, Country Joe and The Fish, and the Pauley Ballroom T-Bone Walker, James Cotton, Kaleidoscope and Janis Ian chain smoking. Now that he is the Business Secretary, it might be a bit much to expect Vince Cable to follow through on an earlier Liberal Democrat pledge to abolish the business department altogether. But of all the savage cuts announced this week, the £700m cut in industrial support is perhaps the most predictable.

Nowhere for free. Appraisers get paid for what they do, and they usually like to see the item you want appraised. For insurance reasons you can never get an online appraisal of a valuable item, because photos can be altered and it's hard to evaluate something without actually holding it in your hands.

I’d say 4 titles is what Duncan will retire with.. Maybe 2030 the latest (hopefully not this long), the Spurs will win their 5th title.. After all, the Spurs won their 1st title 23 years after they joined the NBA… So, that’s the extent of the title drought I hope..
