This post is really about an ex black-hat magician opening his book of tricks for you to take a peek.
The simple line of code I have shown below can be used to edit any web page on any website anywhere in the world -with a catch…
It only edits the page you see, and not the actual website as seen by others visiting that site.
What is the point of this?
Watch the video to see how cheats use this code to falsify documents, income earnings statements, Clickbank transaction pages, PayPal statements, you name it.
You need a current web browser, but other than that it works in both IE and Firefox.
OK, so how do you use it? Visit any web page. When the page has loaded fully, past this into the browser address bar and hit “Enter” key on your keyboard:
javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0
Next, select an area of text as you would in MS Word, etc, and start typing, editing, etc.
What the hackers or cheats would then do is click the “Print Screen” button, or on many keyboards the “Prt Scr” button, then open MS Paint, Photoshop, or whatever imaging program you like, create a new image, and hit “CTRL-V” to paste this falsified web page image into the document.
Very scary huh? It is frightening to think what damage people have done with this.
The one I see very frequently is the falsifying of Clickbank income statements, PayPal sales statements, etc.
Cheers,

I’m looking for a permanent personal assistant for personal and eventually business tasks and projects. My ideal person will have the following skills: Good to great command of the English language, both written & spoken. Skilled in Excel and/or Numbers and Pages (MS Word is good, but I really like using Pages) Comfortable and clear on the telephone Able to make phone calls to me and on my behalf if necessary. Highly skilled in making travel arrangements via websites such as Priceline, CFares, Orbitz etc. Accommodations, flights, car rentals etc. May work within a network of virtual assistants. This is so that I can be referred to known VA’s that will be able to accomplish tasks not under your skills and so that if you are not available for some reason, my tasks can still be accomplished without delay. Familiar with the concepts in the book “The 4-Hour Work week” by Timothy Ferriss. Willing to learn software that I use regularly. Eg: Management by Statistics. I will be selecting 3…

Hi Soni,
Use Paypal for receiving and paying your transactions online. Then from PP transfer to any bank account ex: ICICI
Reason:-
1) Verify your PP ( Paypal) account with your Credit Card/ or if you have Debit card then Generate VCC ( Virtual Credit Card) and verify your account
Benefit: Their will no limit on receiving and doing transaction on your PP account.
2) Your can easily Transfer money to your ICICI account from PP account . It usually takes 3 working days if no holidays comes in between.
3) Their will be no issue from the Bank end.
4) Keep good balance in your PP account . This is always usefull to make online transaction as this is much more safe then doing transaction with your credit card.

Hello Viv,
thanks for your comment, and your kind words
I am confident that even in the anonymity of the Internet, defrauders and cheats eventually get what is coming to them. It is important, though, that we are as vigilant as we can be, and have at least a basic understanding of how we might be fooled.
In contrast, I would hate to think that we need to lose trust in everyone, and make the mistake of painting all with the same dark brush. I tend to think that most people mean well, and, given the chance, deal with others on the up-and-up.

Ron,
Fantastic post!
I seen this done for more than one scammer filling my inbox on a daily basis and thank you so much for producing the video warning everyone to how this works. I completely avoid the use of income statements and the like for the very reason that so much is actually fraudulent these days.
Hope a good many people actually see how this is done and take to heart that seeing is most often NOT believing!
Regards,
Barry

hard to know what to believe in new products now, some people way to pushy on proveing their income, so it doesnt seem right, and yes, always best to do alot of homework and research before we spend our money
January 1st, 2009 on 4:17 pm
Oh my goodness!
Wow! That really creeped me out that you could just do that so quickly.
After getting crappy products a few years back, seeing pasted pictures of statements has already made me so skeptical.
Now, more than ever, I will research a person and their products even more thoroughly before I make a purchase. Shocking article…
