1. Create an account at Technorati if you don't already have one.
2. Sign in to your account.
3. Scroll down your profile page and look for "claimed blogs." Enter the URL of your blog in the "Start a Blog Claim" box.
4. Technorati will send you a "claim token" code that you'll need to enter somewhere on your site so they can verify you are the site owner. This can take a few days. I decided to just post my claim code in the open and used it as a blog post.
5. After the verification process, your site will be listed in their blog directory.

Laying out your methods inside of an interview is not as important as being able to communicate with the interviewer on a more professional aptitude towards goals and growth of the company. Most of the time people find your blog from search engines like yahoo, google, bing etc. You have to optimize your blog with meta tags and they are read from search engines spiders. Its called SEO and you can read more about it online. You can also post your blog on facebook and twitter and other sites like this and you will get some visitors too

Unless you want the user's email program popping up (bad idea – many people don't use email programs, they have webmail accounts), you'll need program code to send you an email. You link a form the user fills out to a php page that sends you an email with the subscription information. (Use Javascript to verify the form before sending it to the php page. Sending a form with no wmail address would be useless, and just annoy the user when s/he has to fill the form out again.)
