Most states require you to have a business license, because most insurance companies require it. And usually if your in business you have to have insurance. … its the law, in most states. So if I were you I'd go to your local "Better Business Bureau" in your town, and ask !!!! It's always better to have your eggs all in one basket. Do your skilled homework. You do remember homework .. right??
Good Luck.

It changed the geography by adding 55% of the territory of the United Mexican States to the United States of America.
It was signed February 2, 1848 in the city of Guadelupe Hidalgo, Mexico, and for $15,000,000 the USA acquired California, most of what became Arizona and New Mexico, and parts of Colorado, Utah and Nevada.
note, this site actually has copies online of the maps used in the negotiations as well as the treaty itself.
the treaty worked its way though the Senate and to the USA president for ratification in March, ratifications were exchanged May 30, and was proclaimed July 4,1848
full text of the treaty is at this site:
and finally the map at this site: shows that it was all of California, Nevada and Utah, as well as part of Colorado, a tiny portion of Wyoming, most of Arizona and about half of New Mexico were involved in this treaty, and amounted to 55% of Mexico's remaining territory (Texas and associated areas that became part of New Mexico Oklahoma Kansas Colorado and Wyoming were annexed in 1845).
Gadsden Purchase of 1853 completed the Mexican territorial cessions to the USA (the rest of the Arizona and New Mexico)

There are many geographic effects to be considered, and they have various impacts on people.
First, consider the effects of climate. The climate supports a very long agricultural season in much of the country, allowing the U.S. to be self-sufficient in food production and to have enough food left over for export. It allows nearly year-round commerce as well, as only a few areas are sufficiently affected by bad weather to prevent travel and shipping. A long coast-line, two major inland waterway systems and land conducive to building of roads and railways has also been of benefit. The result is that most Americans enjoy prosperity, even in economic down times.
The United States has only two neighbors on the North American continent. Both have been good trade partners and both have had at least some influence on the makeup of our population. From the north, immigrants from Canada have included many whose migration began in Europe. (My family came from Europe via the western provinces of Canada.) Immigration from Mexico has deeply affected the population in the West and Southwest.
Because of economic, political and other factors, Americans have been a very mobile society. Within three generations my family has spread from just two states to nearly all of the western states and much of those in the east.
Back to climate–most of Europe is in about the same latitude range as Canada and Alaska. Ocean currents have helped keep Western Europe warmer than Eastern Canada, but the shorter growing season and colder winters have made the United States and its European neighbors very different geographically.

Movement particularly includes the movement of people, goods, and ideas. People interact with one another, exchange goods and services, and exchange ideas. These movements have all played formative and major roles in shaping both the economy, culture and society of the USA as well as the world over time. They are particularly important in our current era of globalization, with an ever increasing politically, culturally, and economically globalizing world. (See source below about five themes of geography).
