Here is another great video on the topic of Web 2.0 done by the clever people at CommonCraft.
This video does a very good job of explaining why social networking sites are so popular. We think one reason is because they help to solve a real world problem.
This post is really about an ex black-hat magician opening his book of tricks for you to take a peek.
The simple line of code I have shown below can be used to edit any web page on any website anywhere in the world -with a catch…
It only edits the page you see, and not the actual website as seen by others visiting that site.
What is the point of this?
Watch the video to see how cheats use this code to falsify documents, income earnings statements, Clickbank transaction pages, PayPal statements, you name it.
You need a current web browser, but other than that it works in both IE and Firefox.
OK, so how do you use it? Visit any web page. When the page has loaded fully, past this into the browser address bar and hit “Enter” key on your keyboard:
Next, select an area of text as you would in MS Word, etc, and start typing, editing, etc.
What the hackers or cheats would then do is click the “Print Screen” button, or on many keyboards the “Prt Scr” button, then open MS Paint, Photoshop, or whatever imaging program you like, create a new image, and hit “CTRL-V” to paste this falsified web page image into the document.
Very scary huh? It is frightening to think what damage people have done with this.
The one I see very frequently is the falsifying of Clickbank income statements, PayPal sales statements, etc.
OK, so it is something readers have been asking me about for a year or so, so maybe it isn’t that big of a revelation.
Just the same, it is a big addition coming to the RonaldDavies.com site and I believe newer readers and members will find it very useful and informative.
I plan to stay in the path I am on with teaching affiliate marketing the way it REALLY works, which is NOT the way it is being taught almost everywhere else I read about it. Interestingly enough, the sites that are teaching it incorrectly are being run by people that have no real background in affiliate marketing, let alone any financial history to back them.
In any event, if there is a specific topic you would like to see covered on Ron T.V., be it affiliate marketing in general or as it applies to professional blogging, drop me a line and we will see what we can do. I have about a dozen email requests for topics here I need to cover for existing members, but we will get through those shortly.
Fact is, the hassle of downloading the new version, making sure the database updates and gets backed up, and resetting all the plugins can be a real pain in the derierre, if you know what I mean.
Enter the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin. A single download and install, and you never have to fiddle about again. Let the plugin do 99% of the upgrade work for you, no worries, and even the backups are handled for you.
Looking to expand your online enterprise? Well, if so, backlinks are the way to go. They have real long-term growth advantages, and immediate exposure results when done properly.
One of the easiest way to do this is with your Twitter RSS feed. Now, lots of Twitter users don’t even know they have an RSS feed there, and just as many don’t know what to do with it to help their backlinks. I am going to give you the easiest way to grow your Twitter backlinks there is:
Go to the Submit page and select your category from the drop-down menu.
Go to your Twitter user page. No need to login. It will look like: http://twitter.com/RonDavies but with your Twitter username where I have mine, RonDavies. The page will look like this:
Scroll to the bottom to the RSS button.
Right-click on the RSS button, select “Copy Link Location” and then paste it in a Tweetwire where it says “RSS Feed URL”. Type in a couple of tags ;ike “Ron DaviesTwitter” or whatever, and hit “Submit”
That’s it!
Now, click on “HOMEPAGE” at the top ot Tweetwire, and you will seeĀ creenshot of your Twitter page appear within seconds, putting you at the top of the list, and getting you spidered within minutes as well.
You can add any number of feeds, including feeds from WordPress blogs. A WordPressblog feed is almost always located at: http://www.yourwordpressblogdomain.com/feed
If you are using WordPress.com for your blog, the feed will be at: http://yourwordpressblogname.wordpress.com/feed
You can invite friends to Tweetwire, and do a number of other very social Web 2.0 things #;>)
That’s it for now. I can do this post as a vidoe if someone needs a little help. The kind of back links these sites provide your blog or Twitter is really worth the 3 minutes it takes to do it.
