Video: Social Networking in Plain English

Here is another great video on the topic of Web 2.0 done by the clever people at CommonCraft.

This video does a very good job of explaining why social networking sites are so popular. We think one reason is because they help to solve a real world problem.

Coming Soon! Ron T.V.!

OK, so it is something readers have been asking me about for a year or so, so maybe it isn’t that big of a revelation.

Just the same, it is a big addition coming to the RonaldDavies.com site and I believe newer readers and members will find it very useful and informative.

I plan to stay in the path I am on with teaching affiliate marketing the way it REALLY works, which is NOT the way it is being taught almost everywhere else I read about it. Interestingly enough, the sites that are teaching it incorrectly are being run by people that have no real background in affiliate marketing, let alone any financial history to back them.

In any event, if there is a specific topic you would like to see covered on Ron T.V., be it affiliate marketing in general or as it applies to professional blogging, drop me a line and we will see what we can do. I have about a dozen email requests for topics here I need to cover for existing members, but we will get through those shortly.

Have a great day!

Ron

Welcome to the World of Blogging!

Welcome to the world of profitable blogging. It’s an exciting, affordable, and ever-changing community to be a part of.

According to www.Technorati.com who tracks over 113 million blogs online within their free community, there are over 175,000 new blogs published each and every day.

From within those blogs, over 1.6 million new posts are submitted online, which equates to about 18 new posts every second of the day.

It’s rather overwhelming to consider that within a week’s time, over 1 million new blogs will be published online. Compare that to new static websites that are created, and it’s easy to see how big the bogging giant really is.

When I was first introduced to pro blogging, I couldn’t believe just how truly easy it was to turn a profit from simple WordPress based blogs. In fact, within a few days of initially launching my first self hosted blog, I was able to generate a profit from a handful of affiliate products that I was promoting, as well as through blog based opportunities that were available to me.

These days, blogging is one of the easiest ways for those interested in online business to be able to jump in, head first, without the risk often associated with high cost business ventures and investments.

With blogging, apart from a $8.00 domain name and a low-cost hosting account, there are no other business based expenses involved.

Best of all, with the free blogging platform available from providers such as WordPress.com, it’s never been ‘technically’ easier to start a full featured, user friendly and interactive website in only a matter of minutes.

It sure beats having to fiddle around in code, learning a programming language, messing with HTML or css and trying to integrate methods of interaction that just don’t seem to ever pan out.

With blog software, you can instantly activate plug-ins and widgets that will automatically integrate into your existing website, and with just a few clicks of your mouse, you can launch your blog for the entire world to see.

So, how can you join the ranks of professional bloggers who have quit their day jobs to focus on their online blogging ventures?

It’s easier than you think and far more enjoyable than many other online business or work at home options available online.  So, without further delay, let’s start building your blog empire!

Cheers,

Stop Leaving Money on the Table! Use Your WP Blog as a Thought Bank…

best blogging sites practices

As a professional blogger, thoughts are your commodity.

They transform through writing into the lifeblood of your blog – articles.

Having said this, sitting down to write with that blank screen can be intimidating if not a little frustrating. Too many times we just “skip it” and go on to something else.

Now, you could just go find an article written by someone else and syndicate it (of course you have to comply with whatever requirements the writer places on syndicating his or her material) but I have always felt that every time we write another piece, we get a little better at it, (I hope) and it becomes a smidge easier.

Now, I can’t make your precious gems of articles appear for you, and believe me, you have plenty to write about that people want to hear, but what I can do is help you get to the point where you are writing.

Here is a trick I use, and so far it has served me pretty well;

Each time you have an idea for an article, even just a tip (like the one you are reading right now)  create a new post in the WordPress Quickie editor, and save it as a draft.

Even if all you write down is a title and nothing else. Do this for each idea you have. Each thought you have that you would like to share. Each inspiration, each word of healing, each idea on how to make something better, everything.

Then, when it comes time to write, just look at your list of drafts on the right hand side of the WordPress admin page and pick the one you want to write about. Te right one for your mood and energy level will reveal itself pretty quickly.

Do you use this method already? Do you have one you feel works well for you right now?

Please leave a comment and share it with others.

Regards
